Karaite Korner Newsletter #353 New Moon Report October 2008 Seventh Biblical Month On Wednesday October 1, 2008 the new moon was sighted from Israel. The moon was first sighted from Jerusalem by C.B. Newman at 18:29 and then immediately thereafter by Nehemia Gordon and Devorah Gordon. The moon was also sighted from the same location by Johan Schutte, Rilla Auzolat, Joelle Crawshaw, and Shirley Burdick. The moon was sighted from elsewhere in Jerusalem at around 18:33 by Avi Ben Mordechai, Dina Marcus, Valerie Knowles, Michele Abraham, and Kerry White and from Kfar Eldad by Bruce Brill.
